Fase I

(Spanish)

DESCRIPTION

FrankestAin With A is a game. Playing a Game or Gaming a play.

In English there is a basic difference between the words game and play. Game is defined by explicit rules mandating its course and play through that structure that develops freely but this does not mean the absence of rules.

FrankestAin With A considers how to move from the practice of play , to the practice of game . Questioning, bringing to the surface and give us the opportunity to share the rules, tools and strategies that we impose ourself to work.

OBJECTIVES

The goal of the game is making a personal vision, a free interpretation from a shared source. In this case the starting point is a video from Internet. To participate in the game you must send an email to viarlandis@hotmail.com. An email will be sent to you with the permission to publish. The only specific rule is that the material has to be in a format compatible for the blog.

The deadline to enter your proposal is the  30th November 2011.

THE STARTING POINT

  1. This little video brings together some topics that are very hot at the moment: money, liquidity, science as a place where our rational control over the world is supposed to find its base... The expression goes "the drop that overflows the bucket". To say that we are in a crisis, with this expression in mind, is in fact a lie. Banking systems and capital has not particularly changed their ways in recent times to provoke a strong reaction. The liquidity of the economy has since long been a terrain for power struggle between politics and industry, over the heads of the proletariat. The fact that this struggle, in recent times, has been fought out in the open, just added insult to injury.
Thus I think we should address our schools and universities, and force them to assume their fundamental role in the empowerment of the people. We should ask them to publish more of this kind of videos which can liberate the energy of a mass movement to spill over the metaphorical edge of the world. Not in anger about an insult, but in quiet urgency because of injury.
We should enlist educational and scientific institutions in the "fabric" which they obviously belong to: the invention of culture.
